Automatic arrangement and the three load variants

Robin van Maasakker · 29 Oct 2026

In the Load planner, Beamcore can divide the elements over transports itself. On the right, click Automatisch indelen (Arrange automatically). The Beamcore interface is in Dutch, so button and menu names are shown in Dutch with a translation. Beamcore takes all elements of the project that are not yet on a fixed transport, in assembly order: what is assembled first goes on the first transport and comes off first on site. A larger element is never laid flat on a smaller element.

What you choose

  • Vrachtwagen (Truck): with a truck, a new transport starts as soon as the load floor or the payload is full.
  • Hoe laden (How to load): automatic (floors and roofs flat on the load floor first, walls on a rack first), everything on racks, or everything without racks flat on the load floor.
  • Bokken per transport (Racks per transport): at most this many racks per transport.
  • Ruimte tussen elementen (mm) (Space between elements, default 100) and Mag kleiner worden tot (mm) (May shrink to, default 50). Beamcore only uses the smaller space if more fits on the truck or fewer transports are needed.
  • Maximale transportbreedte (mm) (Maximum transport width): up to 3500 mm, elements lying flat on the load floor may stick out on both sides. This requires a suitable annual RDW exemption.
  • Per levering indelen (Arrange per delivery): only visible if the project has a delivery date. Each delivery then gets its own transports, dated on the latest loading day. You set the delivery date in Productieplanning (Production planning), view Transport en montage (Transport and assembly), with the Leverdatum (Delivery date) button.

After the calculation you see how many trucks you need, which elements were not assigned and which elements come later than their place in the assembly order, with the reason.

The three variants

Beamcore always calculates three variants with the same racks, truck and limits. You compare them under Belading optimaliseren (Optimise load):

  • Goedkoopste (Cheapest): the lowest estimated transport cost, from the costs you entered for the truck.
  • Minste ritten (Fewest trips): as few truck trips as possible.
  • Makkelijkst lossen (Easiest unloading): unloading in assembly order, moving as little as possible.

Per variant you see the cost, the number of trips, the number of unloading handlings and the number of racks, plus a safety assessment and what you still need to check. Unloading handlings are elements that have to be put aside during unloading, plus elements that arrive earlier than needed and are stored on site in the meantime.

  1. Click Bekijk in 3D (View in 3D) on a variant to put it in the planner. Nothing is recalculated.
  2. Adjust the load where needed. Herstel automatisch voorstel (Restore automatic proposal) removes your adjustments again.
  3. Click Deze variant gebruiken (Use this variant). The transports then become your transport plan (draft). Then make each transport final yourself, after your own check.

If you want a different variant after all, click Andere variant kiezen (Choose another variant). This works as long as none of the transports is final. You can download a PDF per variant, and with Vergelijk alle varianten (Compare all variants) you download the three side by side.

Scheduling transports

Automatic arrangement does not give the transports a date, unless you arrange per delivery. Then click Transporten inplannen (Schedule transports) and choose a date per transport. Leaving it empty is fine: that transport is then not scheduled yet.
