With the diagonal check and the opening check you measure an element and record the result. Both buttons are in the bar above the production drawing: in the Productie (Production) tab of the project and in the factory view. You need the Productie (Production) add-on for this. The Beamcore interface is in Dutch, so button and menu names are shown in Dutch with a translation.
Diagonal check
- Click Diagonaalcontrole (Diagonal check). The drawing shows diagonal A (bottom left to top right, orange) and diagonal B (bottom right to top left, blue) with their design length. You can switch A and B on and off separately.
- Measure both diagonals on the element and fill them in under Gemeten (Measured). Beamcore immediately shows the deviation per diagonal and the Verschil A − B (Difference A − B).
- Optionally add a comment and click Meting opslaan (Save measurement).
For a rectangular element Beamcore calculates the design length from the width and the height. For a gable or another shape you measure between the chosen corner points. That is then not a full squareness check. Note: equal diagonals alone do not prove that an element is square. Also check the outer dimensions.
Choosing the measuring points yourself
If Beamcore cannot determine the measuring points reliably, it shows Controle vereist (Check required). Click Meetpunten kiezen (Choose measuring points) and choose four corner points of the outline. Click Meetpunten opslaan (Save measuring points). Your choice only applies to this revision. With Automatische meetpunten (Automatic measuring points) Beamcore determines the points itself again.
Opening check
- Click Sparingencontrole (Opening check). Each opening gets an orange frame with a number: S01, S02 and so on. Choose what you want to see: Alleen dagmaten (Only clear sizes), Alleen positiematen (Only position dimensions) or Alle sparingsmaten (All opening dimensions).
- Click an opening in the drawing or in the list. You see the width, the height and the distances to the edges of the element.
- Fill in the measured Breedte (Width), Hoogte (Height), Positie vanaf links (Position from left) and Positie vanaf onder (Position from bottom) and click Meting opslaan (Save measurement).
Beamcore takes the openings from the timber frame. The size is the Ruwe constructieve sparingsmaat (Rough structural opening size): the free opening in the frame. The clear size after finishing and the window frame size are not in the model. They are therefore shown as not available.
Tolerances and result
With Toleranties (Tolerances) you set the tolerances in mm per project: diagonal, difference A − B, opening size and position. In the diagonal check you also choose the Nauwkeurigheid (Accuracy): 1 mm, 0.1 mm or 0.01 mm. If you leave a field empty, Beamcore assumes no tolerance and the status becomes Controle vereist (Check required).
A measurement gets the status approved, deviation, not checked yet or check required. A measurement only applies to the revision it was made on. When a new revision arrives, you measure again. Earlier measurements are kept under Eerdere metingen (Earlier measurements).
Photos with a measurement
With Foto toevoegen (Add photo) you add photos to the measurement. On a tablet the camera opens. You can add at most 10 photos per measurement. They are saved when you click Meting opslaan (Save measurement).
In the PDF
Below the diagonal check panel are the buttons Productietekening met sparingsmaten (Production drawing with opening dimensions), Productietekening met diagonalen (Production drawing with diagonals), Productietekening met beide controles (Production drawing with both checks) and Controleoverzicht met meetresultaten (Check overview with measurement results). The check overview shows per element the tolerances, design dimensions, measurements, deviations and status, who measured when, and the earlier measurements.
In the quality file
If you also have the Wkb & Kwaliteitsborging (Wkb & quality assurance) add-on, the measurements per element are in the file PDF, in the chapter on dimension checks for diagonals and openings. A deviation outside the tolerance or a check that is still required appears as a warning in the Dossiercontrole (File check) under Kwaliteitsdossiers (Quality files). A measurement on an older revision does not count as a current measurement.
Who can do what
With the default roles, admin, drafter and workshop can record a measurement. Only an admin sets the tolerances.
