Photos that are uploaded to a project with the Beamcore app on the building site or in the workshop end up in their own place in the portal: the section Veldfoto's (Field photos). That way they stay separate from drawings and documents, but are still with the right project. The Beamcore interface is in Dutch, so button and menu names are shown in Dutch with a translation.
Where to find the field photos
- Open the project.
- Go to the tab Documenten (Documents).
- Scroll to the section Veldfoto's.
The latest photos are at the top. If there are no photos yet, you see the message Nog geen veldfoto's (No field photos yet). The section is visible to users with the permission Bestandenlijst zien (See file list). By default the roles admin, tekenaar (draughtsman) and klant (customer) have that permission. The role aannemer (contractor) does not have it by default.
How photos end up here
Field photos only come in via the Beamcore app. In the portal itself you cannot add photos in this section. If you want to put an image with the project from your computer, use Bestanden uploaden (Upload files) under Bestanden (Files). That image is then among the normal files and not with the field photos.
Every photo from the app remains a separate file, even if several photos have the same file name. With normal files an upload with the same name could become a new version. With field photos that does not happen, so that no photo disappears behind another.
What you see per photo
- a small preview;
- the Naam (Name), which you can also search on;
- the Grootte (Size) of the file;
- under Geüpload (Uploaded) the date and time of uploading.
Viewing and downloading
- Bekijken (View) opens the photo in a window. With Volledig scherm (Full screen) you see it large.
- Download fetches the stored photo file.
The photos are also in the download Alles downloaden (ZIP) (Download all, ZIP) under Bestanden, in the folder in which they are stored. See Downloading files as a ZIP.
What is not possible in this section
The section Veldfoto's is meant for viewing and downloading. There are no buttons to delete a photo, replace it with a new version or annotate it. The photos are also not in the list Bestanden and do not count there in the tabs per folder.
Take care with shielded folders: the section Veldfoto's does not take into account roles that are excluded from a folder. Everyone who sees the section sees all field photos of the project.
