Downloading files as a ZIP

Robin van Maasakker · 13 Oct 2026

If you want to keep all documents of a project locally or forward them, you do not have to fetch them one by one. With one button you download the files of the project as a ZIP. The Beamcore interface is in Dutch, so button and menu names are shown in Dutch with a translation.

Downloading everything

  1. Open the project and go to the tab Documenten (Documents).
  2. Under Bestanden (Files), click Alles downloaden (ZIP) (Download all, ZIP).
  3. The download starts in your browser.

The button is visible as soon as the project has at least one file. Downloading is also possible if the project is locked. The ZIP gets the project name as its file name, followed by -files.

What is in the ZIP

  • Only the latest version of each file. Older versions are not included.
  • The files are in subfolders with the name of the folder in Beamcore. A subfolder also becomes a top-level folder in the ZIP: the folder tree is not recreated.
  • Each file has the original file name of the latest version.
  • Field photos from the Beamcore app are also included, in the folder in which they are stored.

What is not in it

  • Files in folders from which your role is excluded. The ZIP only contains what you yourself are allowed to view. So two users can get a different ZIP of the same project. See Restricting folder access by role.
  • Annotations on PDFs. You get the original file. If you want the comments with it, download an annotated PDF per file. See Carrying over annotations and downloading an annotated PDF.
  • Drawings from the menu Capaciteit → Tekeningen (Capacity → Drawings). Those have their own ZIP download.

If you are not allowed to view any file of the project, you see the message Geen toegankelijke bestanden om te exporteren (No accessible files to export) and no download starts.

Downloading one folder or a selection

A ZIP of one folder or of your own selection is not available in the project. The button always takes all files you are allowed to see. If you only need a few files, use Download per file. First filter with the tab of the folder to have them together quickly.

Fetching an older version

Because the ZIP only contains latest versions, you fetch an older version separately:

  1. Click Versies (Versions) next to the file.
  2. Click Download next to the version you want.

Drawings from the Tekeningen menu

In Capaciteit → Tekeningen it works differently: there you choose yourself what goes into the ZIP.

  1. Tick the drawings you want.
  2. Choose the bulk action ZIP downloaden (Download ZIP).

You get the current version of each selected drawing. You can read more about this overview in The Tekeningen menu: versions and feedback.

Tips

  • With a project with many or large files the download takes longer. Leave the tab open until it is finished.
  • Before forwarding, check that the ZIP does not contain internal files. You may see folders that your customer does not see.
