For every element Beamcore automatically makes a production drawing per zone: the frame and every layer of sheets or battens. You open it in the Productie (Production) tab by setting the switch of an open element to Tekening (Drawing) or 2D + 3D. The Beamcore interface is in Dutch, so button and menu names are shown in Dutch with a translation.
What is on the drawing
- A header bar with project, element, zone and status, and at the bottom right a title block with the client's logo.
- The front view of the zone and, for the frame, also a section, a side view and at the bottom the connection details to the adjoining elements.
- Dimensions from a red datum: running dimensions, intermediate dimensions and the overall dimension, to the side of the parts and never to the centre.
- Position numbers on the parts, with the beam, sheet or batten list on the sheet. The parts have the colour from the model.
- If you have the Wkb & Kwaliteitsborging (Wkb & quality assurance) add-on, it shows a QR code to the quality file of the element.
The frame and the inner sheets are seen from the inside. For the outer sheets the element is flipped; that sheet clearly says so. The shape comes from the 3D model, so sloping rails and gables are right on the drawing. All dimensions are in millimetres.
Zones and drawing mode
In the bar above the drawing you choose under Zones which zone you see. Under Tekeningsmodus (Drawing mode) you choose how much is shown on screen:
- Overzicht (Overview): only the element with the overall dimensions, for a quick assessment.
- Productie (Production): all production dimensions, position numbers and connection details. This is the default.
- Detailcontrole (Detail check): everything, including depth dimensions and the dimensions and angles of sloping parts, the same as the PDF.
When you click a part, it lights up in the drawing and in 3D. Alleen maten van dit onderdeel (Only dimensions of this part) shows only the dimensions of that part from the datum.
Downloading as PDF
Click Export PDF for a vector PDF with all zones. The PDF always has the full dimensioning.
Measuring in the drawing
Click Meten (Measure) and click two points; Beamcore snaps to corners and edges. Hold Shift for a horizontal or vertical measurement and press Esc to stop. The measurement stays as a dimension line until you click Maten wissen (Clear measurements). Scroll or pinch to zoom, drag to pan and click Passend (Fit) to see the whole sheet.
An older revision
If a revision was processed before the production drawing existed, you see a message. Click Opnieuw verwerken (Process again) to create the drawing.
