Production planning is part of the Productie (Production) add-on (€99 per month per production line). Productieplanning (Production planning) and Capaciteit & bezetting (Capacity & load) are in the Capaciteit (Capacity) menu, Productietafels (Production tables) in the Productie (Production) menu. The admin and planner roles can manage tables and plan elements. The Beamcore interface is in Dutch, so button and menu names are shown in Dutch with a translation.
Creating a production table
- Go to Productie → Productietafels (Production → Production tables) and click Nieuwe productietafel (New production table).
- Fill in the Naam (Name, for example "Table 1, Wall line A"), the Productiehal (Production hall), the Type tafel (Table type: wall, floor, roof or universal) and the Status (available, in production, out of order or out of use).
- Optionally fill in the Maximale elementlengte (mm) (Maximum element length) and Maximale elementhoogte (mm) (Maximum element height). Beamcore then warns you when an element does not fit.
- Set the Productiecapaciteit per dag (uren) (Production capacity per day, in hours; 8 by default) and under Werktijden (Working hours) the Werkdagen (Working days), Begintijd (Start time) and Eindtijd (End time).
- Optionally choose the Beschikbare medewerkers (Available employees) and the Volgorde in de planning (Order in the planning), and save.
A table with planned elements cannot be deleted. Use Deactiveren (Deactivate) instead.
Releasing elements
You can only plan an element once work preparation has released it. That happens in the Productie (Production) tab of the project with Klaarzetten voor productie (Release for production) or Alles klaarzetten (Release all).
Planning elements
- Open Productie → Productieplanning (Production → Production planning). Use Dag (Day) or Week, the arrows, Vandaag (Today) and the date picker to pick the right day. You plan in the day view; the week view is for viewing.
- On the left, Nog in te plannen (Still to plan) lists the released elements. Drag an element onto a table, or tick a few (or Alles, All) and click Inplannen (Plan).
- Choose the Productietafel (Production table), the Productiedatum (Production date) and the Geschatte productietijd per element (uren) (Estimated production time per element, in hours) and click Inplannen (Plan).
- If an element does not fit, has a different type, the table is out of order, it is not a working day or the table gets overloaded, you see Let op (Note). Choose Toch inplannen (Plan anyway) or Annuleren (Cancel).
Every card has Details, Status, arrows to change the order, Wijzigen (Edit: table, date, time and Prioriteit, Priority: normal, high or urgent), Medewerkers (Employees) and Uit planning (Remove from planning). If you set the status to blocked or rejected by hand, you fill in a Reden (Reason).
Keeping an eye on the load
Above every table you see how many hours are planned out of the available hours, with a percentage and how many elements are already finished. You get a warning when more is planned than the capacity, or when the table does not work on that day.
Under Productie → Capaciteit & bezetting (Production → Capacity & load) you see per Week or Maand (Month), and optionally per Hal (Hall), the available, planned and actually spent production hours and the load, per production table and per day. Naar de planning (To the planning) takes you back to the board.
