The 3D view with beam and sheet list

Robin van Maasakker · 22 Oct 2026

When you open an element in the Productie (Production) tab, the switch is set to 3D. You see the element in 3D with the Balkenlijst (Beam list) and the Platenlijst (Sheet list) next to it. The Beamcore interface is in Dutch, so button and menu names are shown in Dutch with a translation.

Beam list and sheet list

For every part you see, among other things, the position number (Pos), the Aantal (Quantity), the Kopmaat (Section) or Dikte (Thickness), the Lengte (Length), the Breedte (Width), the Materiaal (Material) and the Zone. If the material is not in the IFC model, Beamcore shows a dash: nothing is filled in for you.

Finding parts

  • Click a part in the 3D view: its line in the list lights up and Geselecteerd onderdeel (Selected part) shows its details.
  • Click a line in the list: all identical parts light up in the model.
  • Wissen (Clear) removes the selection.

Measuring in 3D

Click Meten (Measure) and click two points. Beamcore snaps to the corners and edges of the parts, so you measure precisely. The measurement stays until you click Maten wissen (Clear measurements). Volledig scherm (Full screen) gives the model the whole screen.

Displaying the model

  • Voor (Front), Achter (Back), Links (Left), Rechts (Right), Boven (Top) and 3D choose the view; Passend (Fit) brings the model back into view.
  • Nummers (Numbers) puts the position numbers on the parts. Click a number to select the part.
  • Hout (Timber) gives the timber a wood grain, so the model reads like the real element.
  • Transparant (Transparent) makes the model see-through, so you also see what lies behind.
  • A floor lies flat in view. The elements adjoining it are shown in light grey as surroundings.

With the switch above the element you choose 3D, Tekening (Drawing) or 2D + 3D. With 2D + 3D the production drawing is at the top and the 3D model below it.
