Sending invoices as e-invoices via Peppol

Robin van Maasakker · 28 Oct 2026

Through the Peppol network an invoice goes as an e-invoice straight into your customer's accounting software, with the PDF attached. This is part of the Offertes & Facturatie (Quotes & invoicing) add-on. You need the Facturen via Peppol versturen en Peppol instellen (Send invoices via Peppol and set up Peppol) permission; the admin role has it by default. The Beamcore interface is in Dutch, so button and menu names are shown in Dutch with a translation.

Setting up Peppol

  1. Go to Bedrijf → Bedrijfsinstellingen (Company → Company settings), tab Offertes & facturen (Quotes & invoices), block Peppol (e-facturatie) (Peppol (e-invoicing)).
  2. Leave the Peppol-schema (Peppol scheme) and the Peppol-ID van je bedrijf (Your company's Peppol ID) empty to use your Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number, or choose another scheme, such as your VAT number or an OIN.
  3. Optionally switch on Facturen automatisch via Peppol versturen (Send invoices via Peppol automatically). After an invoice is sent, Beamcore then looks up whether the customer can receive e-invoices, and if so also sends it via Peppol.
  4. Click Peppol-instellingen opslaan (Save Peppol settings).

Make sure your company has its Chamber of Commerce number, VAT number and address filled in, and the IBAN in the invoice defaults.

Customer details

Open the customer and look under Financieel (Financial). Leave Peppol-ID (Peppol ID) empty to use the customer's Chamber of Commerce number, or fill in the Peppol ID your customer has given you. Opzoeken in Peppol (Look up in Peppol) checks whether the customer can receive e-invoices via Peppol. The customer also needs a billing address, and for reverse-charge VAT a VAT number.

Sending an invoice via Peppol

  1. First send the invoice the way you are used to.
  2. On the invoice, click Versturen via Peppol (Send via Peppol) and confirm. If anything is still missing, the window tells you exactly what to fill in.

The invoice shows the Peppol label with the status: being sent, sent, delivered or failed. If it failed, you see the reason and can try again with Opnieuw via Peppol versturen (Send via Peppol again). A delivered invoice is never sent twice.
