Beamcore keeps you informed in two ways: by email and with notifications in the portal itself. By default everything is switched on. On the Notificaties (Notifications) page you switch off, per type of notification, what you do not want to receive. These settings only apply to your own account. The Beamcore interface is in Dutch, so button and menu names are shown in Dutch with a translation.
Changing your preferences
- Go to Mijn account → Notificaties (My account → Notifications).
- Find the notification you want to change in the list.
- Switch off the toggle in the E-mail (Email) column if you no longer want to receive an email about it.
- Switch off the toggle in the In-app column if the notification no longer needs to appear in the portal.
- Click Opslaan (Save) at the top right. You see the message Voorkeuren opgeslagen (Preferences saved).
Note: the toggles are only saved after you have clicked Opslaan. If you leave the page before that, your old preferences remain.
The two columns work independently of each other. So you can let a notification come in in the portal and switch off the email about it, or the other way round.
The tiles at the top
Above the list are three tiles that summarise the state of your toggles:
- Per e-mail aan (On by email): the number of notifications you receive by email.
- In de app aan (On in the app): the number of notifications that appear in the portal.
- Uitgezet (Switched off): the number of toggles that are off, email and in the app added together.
Which notifications you can set
The list only contains notifications that apply to you. What you see depends on your role and your permissions. These notifications can be in the list:
- Nieuw projectbericht of reactie (New project message or reply): for every user.
- Project-bestand geüpload (Project file uploaded): for those who may see projects or project files.
- Genoemd in een aanvraag-gesprek (Mentioned in a request conversation): for those who may view or submit requests.
- Quotum overschreden (companies) (Quota exceeded, companies) and Opslag bijna vol / overschreden (companies) (Storage almost full / exceeded, companies): for owners and users with the admin role.
- Wekelijkse urenreminder (Weekly hours reminder), Herinnering: uren nog niet ingediend (Reminder: hours not yet submitted), Mijn uren goedgekeurd (My hours approved), Mijn uren teruggestuurd (My hours sent back) and Mijn urenstaat heropend (My timesheet reopened): for those who may log hours themselves.
- Urenstaat ingediend ter goedkeuring (Timesheet submitted for approval): for those who may approve timesheets or have been designated as approver.
- Dagelijks bestelvoorstel (Daily order proposal): for those who may manage orders.
Notifications that are not in the list cannot be changed on this page. If it says Geen instelbare notificaties gevonden (No configurable notifications found), there are no notifications to set for your account.
The bell in the top bar
Beamcore collects notifications in the app behind the bell icon in the top bar. A counter on the bell shows how many unread notifications you have. The portal checks every minute whether there are new notifications, you do not need to refresh the page for that.
- Click the bell to open the Meldingen (Notifications) panel.
- With Alles als gelezen markeren (Mark all as read) you set the counter back to zero.
- With Wissen (Clear) you remove all notifications from the panel.
If you switch off the In-app column for a notification, that type of notification no longer appears behind the bell. Notifications that were already there stay until you clear them.
