Submitting ideas on the Roadmap and What is new

Robin van Maasakker · 13 Oct 2026

Under Productideeën (Product ideas) in the menu you find two pages: the Roadmap and Wat is nieuw (What is new). On the roadmap you see what Beamcore is working on, you vote on ideas and you submit an idea yourself. The roadmap is the same for all Beamcore users: so you also see ideas from other companies. The Beamcore interface is in Dutch, so button and menu names are shown in Dutch with a translation.

Reading the roadmap

Go to Productideeën → Roadmap (Product ideas → Roadmap). The ideas are shown as cards in four columns: In overweging (Under consideration), Gepland (Planned), In ontwikkeling (In development) and Uitgebracht (Released). Within a column the ideas with the most support are at the top. With the buttons above the board you filter by category, such as Planning, Offertes (Quotes) or Facturatie (Invoicing). Choose Alles (All) to clear the filter.

At the top are four tiles: the number of ideas on the roadmap, the number in development, your own ideas and the number of ideas you have voted on.

Voting, following and replying

  • Voting: click the up arrow on the left of a card. You see the message Bedankt voor je stem! (Thanks for your vote!) Click once more to withdraw your vote.
  • Viewing details: click the card itself. You see the full description, the status, any response from Beamcore and the discussion.
  • Following: click Volgen (Follow) in the detail window. You are then notified when the status of the idea changes or when someone replies. With Niet meer volgen (Unfollow) you switch that off again.
  • Replying: type your message under Jouw reactie (Your reply) and click Reageren (Reply).

When an idea is released, the people who voted for it are notified as well.

Submitting an idea yourself

  1. Click Nieuw idee indienen (Submit new idea) at the top right.
  2. Fill in a Titel (Title). As soon as you leave the field, Beamcore shows similar ideas under Lijkt dit op een bestaand idee? (Does this look like an existing idea?). If your idea already exists, it is better to vote on the existing idea.
  3. Under Omschrijving (Description), describe what you want to be able to do and why. This field is required.
  4. Under Gebruikssituatie (optioneel) (Use case, optional), give a concrete example. That helps with the assessment.
  5. Optionally choose a Categorie (Category).
  6. Click Indienen (Submit).

Your idea is then on the Mijn ideeën (My ideas) tab with the status Ingediend (Submitted). The Beamcore team assesses it first. Only after approval does it appear on the roadmap, in the In overweging column. You are notified as soon as the status changes, and you do not need to follow your own idea separately.

Submitting privately

Switch on the Privé indienen (Submit privately) toggle in the form if your idea must not be visible to others. Only Beamcore sees it then. It does not appear on the roadmap, but you do find it under Mijn ideeën.

Following your own ideas

On the Mijn ideeën tab are all your submissions with their status, the number of people who support the idea and any Reactie van Beamcore (Response from Beamcore). Besides the statuses of the board you also come across In beoordeling (Under review), Afgewezen (Rejected) and Samengevoegd (Merged) here. The last one means that your idea has been merged with a similar idea.

What is new

Under Productideeën → Wat is nieuw (Product ideas → What is new) is a timeline of everything that has been released, grouped per month with the newest updates at the top. For each update you see the title, the date, the section it concerns and a short explanation. If an update stems from an idea on the roadmap, it says how many people asked for it. The tiles at the top count the total number of updates, the number from this year and the number that come from user ideas.
