Planning back from the delivery date and the production proposal

Robin van Maasakker · 29 Oct 2026

In the Productieplanning (Production planning), Beamcore plans back from the delivery date of a project. You see when each element must be loaded and ready at the latest. Beamcore can then create a production proposal. This is part of the Productie (Production) add-on. The admin and planner roles can set delivery dates and create or accept proposals. Others can look along. The Beamcore interface is in Dutch, so button and menu names are shown in Dutch with a translation.

Setting the delivery date

  1. Open the Productieplanning (Production planning) and choose the Transport en montage (Transport and assembly) view.
  2. Click Leverdatum instellen (Set delivery date) for the project, fill in the Leverdatum project (Project delivery date) and save.
  3. If a large project is delivered in parts, click Levering opsplitsen (Split delivery). Fill in a Naam (Name), for example "Levering 1: begane grond" (Delivery 1: ground floor), the Leverdatum (Delivery date) and the Montagestappen (Assembly steps) that belong to this delivery. Elements that are not part of an extra delivery fall under the project delivery date.

You can split a delivery when the project has an assembly sequence in the Montage (Assembly) tab. Wijzigen (Edit) and Verwijderen (Delete) change an extra delivery.

What Beamcore calculates

For each delivery you see three dates: Levering (Delivery), Uiterlijk laden (Load by) and Uiterlijk gereed (Ready by). Ready by includes the quality check. Beamcore counts in working days, without weekends and days off. You set how many working days lie in between under Bedrijf → Bedrijfsinstellingen (Company → Company settings), tab Productie (Production), block Levering en transport (Delivery and transport).

For each element you see the assembly step, when and on which table it is in production, its stage (from not planned to delivered), the transport and a warning. You get a warning, for example, when an element is not planned yet, is planned after the ready-by date or is blocked. Also when the transport falls after the delivery date or the assembly is planned before the delivery. Alleen conflicten (Only conflicts) shows only what needs attention. Beamcore warns, but does not change the planning here by itself.

Delays for transport and assembly

If an element is not ready on time, the delivery shows which transports and which assembly steps are at risk. Every working day at 7:15 Beamcore checks the planning. If there are new delayed elements, everyone who plans production (admin and planner by default) gets a notification, by email and in the app. An element is reported once. If it is back on time and later runs late again, a new notification follows.

The production proposal

  1. In the Production planning, choose the Productievoorstel (Production proposal) view and click Planning optimaliseren (Optimise planning).
  2. Beamcore assigns the released elements in order of their ready-by date, to the first suitable table with free capacity. Similar elements of a project are placed one after the other.
  3. Per day and per table you see the Element, the Project, the Tijd (Time), Uiterlijk gereed (Ready by) and the Wijziging (Change): Nieuw (New), Verplaatst (Moved) or Ongewijzigd (Unchanged). At the top are the tiles Nieuw ingepland (Newly planned), Verplaatst (Moved), Na uiterlijk gereed (After ready by) and Niet in te plannen (Cannot be planned), with the reason.
  4. If it is right, click Voorstel overnemen (Accept proposal). If you do not want it, click Weggooien (Discard).

The proposal only changes the planning when you accept it. If the planning has changed in the meantime, you see De planning is gewijzigd sinds dit voorstel (The planning has changed since this proposal). You can no longer accept it then. Click Opnieuw optimaliseren (Optimise again) for a new proposal.

Pinning elements

If you want an element to stay where it is, click Vastzetten (Pin) on its card in the day view. The card gets the label Vastgezet (Pinned) and the proposal leaves it in place. Anything already in production or finished also stays. Losmaken (Unpin) lets the proposal move the element again.

Dependencies between elements

If an element may only be made after another one, record that in the Production proposal view. Click Afhankelijkheid toevoegen (Add dependency) and choose the Project, the Element and Pas na element (Only after element). The proposal then never plans the element earlier than the element it waits for. An existing planning does not change because of it. Weghalen (Remove) deletes a dependency.

The production time

If an element has its own estimated time, the proposal uses it. If not, Beamcore estimates the time from the actual times of elements that are already finished, per square metre and per element type. At least three finished elements are needed for that. The proposal then shows (uit werkelijke tijden) (from actual times) next to the time. If too little is known yet, Beamcore assumes an average and shows (aangenomen) (assumed).
