Tracking insulation and hardware and booking stock movements

Robin van Maasakker · 28 Oct 2026

Under Voorraadbeheer → Voorraad (Stock management → Stock) all your materials are in tabs: Alle materialen (All materials), Hout (Timber), Plaatmateriaal (Sheet material), Isolatie (Insulation) and IJzerwaren (Hardware). Adding items and booking stock movements requires the Artikelen en voorraad beheren (correctie, telling) (Manage items and stock (correction, count)) permission. The Beamcore interface is in Dutch, so button and menu names are shown in Dutch with a translation.

Adding insulation and hardware

  1. Open the Isolatie (Insulation) or IJzerwaren (Hardware) tab and click Nieuwe isolatie (New insulation) or Nieuwe ijzerwaren (New hardware).
  2. Fill in the kind (for example glass wool or PIR, or for hardware the type and the Subcategorie (Subcategory) such as screws or angle brackets) and the dimensions. For insulation you also fill in the Rd value, for hardware the diameter.
  3. Fill in Platen of dekens per pak (Boards or blankets per pack) or Stuks per doos (Pieces per box). Stock always counts in single boards or pieces; Beamcore works out packs, boxes and m² for you.
  4. Under Artikelgegevens (Item details) every material has the item number (leave empty and Beamcore picks one), name, manufacturer, brand, EAN code, VAT rate and optionally a fixed selling price.

Booking a stock movement

Open an item and click Mutatie boeken (Book movement). Choose the Soort mutatie (Movement type): add stock, remove stock, write off damaged material, issue to project, unused material returned from project or return to supplier. Fill in the quantity, in pieces or in boxes and packs, a Reden (Reason) and optionally an attachment such as a photo of the damage. Every movement becomes a new line in the history; you fix a mistake with a reversing entry.

If an item is reserved for a project, you issue it through the Materiaal (Material) tab of the project, so it is not written off twice. At the top of the item you see the Fysieke voorraad (Physical stock), Gereserveerd (Reserved), Beschikbaar (Available) and In bestelling (On order).

Opened boxes and packs

With Geopende dozen (Opened boxes) or Geopende pakken (Opened packs) you record how many pieces are now loose or from an opened package. After that Beamcore keeps track itself and you see, for example, "8 closed boxes + 50 pieces from opened boxes".

Certificates and sheet offcuts

In the Documenten en certificaten (Documents and certificates) tab of an item, Document toevoegen (Add document) adds a certificate, declaration of performance, product sheet or safety data sheet, optionally with a number and Geldig t/m (Valid until). You immediately see whether a document is valid, expires soon or has expired.

Sheet material has the Reststukken (Offcuts) tab. When you cut a sheet, write off the whole sheet and record what is left with Reststuk registreren (Register offcut), with length, width and quantity. Later you choose Gebruiken (Use) or Afvoeren (Dispose). Offcuts do not count towards the stock of whole sheets.
