Project statuses and priority

Robin van Maasakker · 13 Oct 2026

The status shows where a project stands, from draft to archive. Beamcore makes some of the transitions itself based on the dates, the rest you set by hand. Below is exactly what happens when. The Beamcore interface is in Dutch, so button and menu names are shown in Dutch with a translation.

The six statuses

  • Concept (Draft): the default status of a new project.
  • Actief (Active): the project is running.
  • On hold: the project is temporarily paused.
  • Vertraagd (Delayed): the end date has passed while the project was still active.
  • Afgerond (Completed): the project is finished.
  • Gearchiveerd (Archived): the project has been closed and filed away.

Priority

Every project also has a priority: Laag (Low), Normaal (Normal), Hoog (High) or Urgent. New projects are set to Normaal. You change the priority in the Prioriteit (Priority) field on the edit page of the project.

Changing the status manually

  1. Open the project via CRM → Projecten (CRM → Projects).
  2. Click Acties (Actions) at the top right and choose Status wijzigen (Change status).
  3. Choose the desired status under Nieuwe status (New status) and confirm.

You can also change the status via Bewerken (Edit), in the Status field. That field can only be changed if your role has the permission Projectstatus wijzigen (Change project status) and you are linked to the project. Otherwise it says that you do not have permission to change the project status.

What Beamcore does automatically

Three transitions happen by themselves:

  • Concept to Actief: as soon as the start date of the project has been reached. Beamcore checks this every hour.
  • Actief to Vertraagd: as soon as the end date has passed. This is also checked every hour. A project without an end date is never delayed automatically.
  • Afgerond to Gearchiveerd: a completed project that has not been changed for six months is archived. This check runs once a week.

You set all other transitions yourself. So a project does not become Afgerond by itself when the last part is done, and a delayed project does not go back to Actief by itself if you move the end date. Projects with the status On hold are left alone by the automatic checks.

Filtering the project list

The filters are above the list on CRM → Projecten. They are applied immediately, without a separate button.

  • Status: one or more statuses at once.
  • Klant (Customer): only the customers of projects you are allowed to see.
  • Periode (Period): Deze maand (This month), Volgende maand (Next month), Dit kwartaal (This quarter) or Dit jaar (This year). A project counts if the start date or the end date falls within that period.
  • A filter for deleted projects, which lets you show deleted projects as well.

The search field searches by project name, project number and customer name.

List or cards

Use the buttons Lijst (List) and Kaarten (Cards) to switch views. The list shows the status, the progress and the planning for each project. The card view shows the same projects as a grid of cards. Searching and filtering work the same in both views, and Beamcore remembers your choice for as long as you are logged in.

Use Openen (Open) to go to the project. Under Meer acties (More actions) you will find, among other things, editing the project.
