Under Configuratie (Configuration) you define what a new project starts with. The default project planning applies to every new project. With project templates you also create variants per building type, including their own folders and documents. The Beamcore interface is in Dutch, so button and menu names are shown in Dutch with a translation.
Default project planning
Go to Configuratie → Standaard projectplanning (Configuration → Default project planning). This page is available to owners and to users with the permission Planning beheren (Manage planning). You see the parts, also called planning phases, that every new project gets in its planning by default. At the top you see, among other things, the total number of working days of all parts together.
For each part you define three things:
- Naam (Name).
- Standaardduur (werkdagen) (Default duration (working days)): how many working days the step normally takes. Saturday and Sunday do not count.
- Klant levert aan (Customer supplies): switch this on if it is the customer's turn at this step, for example for a check or for supplying data. If it is off, it is an action for your own team.
You determine the order by dragging the parts in the table. That order is also the order in which a new project is planned. Which employee carries out a part is something you only choose in the project itself.
Fill with the default planning
If you do not want to start with an empty list, click Vul met standaard planning (Fill with default planning) and confirm with Importeren (Import). Beamcore then adds its own default set of eight phases, from the first set-up and the review rounds up to and including the production drawings. Phases you already have with exactly the same name are skipped, so you can safely use the button again. After that you adjust names and duration to your own way of working.
If you have not defined any parts yourself yet, the form for a new project uses this default set as a starting point.
Creating a project template
Go to Configuratie → Projectsjablonen (Configuration → Project templates). The page is visible if your role is allowed to see templates. A template consists of three sections:
- Sjabloon (Template): Naam (bouwtype) (Name (building type)), for example the type of house, an Omschrijving (Description) and the toggle Actief (Active).
- Standaard onderdelen (Default parts): the planning parts for this building type, each with Naam and Werkdagen (Working days). Use Onderdeel toevoegen (Add part) to add a row and drag to determine the order.
- Standaard mappen (Default folders): extra folders that are created alongside the default folders of a project. Use Map toevoegen (Add folder) to add a Mapnaam (Folder name).
Adding default documents
As soon as the template has been saved, the edit page shows the section Standaard documenten (Default documents). Here you upload files that every project of this building type should get.
- Upload the Bestand (File).
- Optionally fill in a Weergavenaam (Display name). If you leave it empty, the file name is used.
- Under Plaatsen in map (Place in folder), choose Basis gegevens (Basic data) or Overige (Other).
Using a template
When creating a project, the field Sjabloon (bouwtype) (Template (building type)) appears as soon as there is at least one active template. If you choose a template, its parts are loaded into the form and you can still adjust them. On saving, Beamcore creates the extra folders and puts a copy of the default documents in the project. If you switch Actief off, the template can no longer be chosen. Existing projects do not change if you adjust a template later.
The whole form is described in Creating and setting up a project.
