Viewing and restoring planning history

Robin van Maasakker · 13 Oct 2026

Beamcore records every change to the planning of a project. If something goes wrong, for example a part that was deleted or dragged by accident, you restore the planning to an earlier moment. You can undo that restore as well. The Beamcore interface is in Dutch, so button and menu names are shown in Dutch with a translation.

Who can use the history

The history is visible to owners and to users with the permission Planning beheren (Manage planning). Anyone who may only view the planning does not see the Historie (History) button and so cannot restore anything either.

Opening the history

You find the Historie button in two places in a project:

  • at the top right under Acties (Actions);
  • on the Planning tab, above the list Planning onderdelen (Planning parts).

The window Wijzigingen in de planning (Changes to the planning) shows the changes from new to old. For each row you see what happened, a short summary, the date and time and who made the change. The top row is marked as Huidige staat (Current state).

Which changes are recorded

In the history you will come across these kinds of rows, among others:

  • Beginsituatie (Initial situation)
  • Onderdeel afgerond (Part completed) and Onderdeel heropend (Part reopened)
  • Onderdeel versleept (Part dragged), Onderdeel bewerkt (Part edited) and Volgorde gewijzigd (Order changed)
  • Onderdeel ingevoegd (Part inserted) and Onderdeel verwijderd (Part deleted)
  • Toewijzing gewijzigd (Assignment changed)
  • Project herpland (Project replanned)
  • Planning teruggezet (Planning restored)

Restoring an earlier moment

  1. Open the history and find the moment you want to go back to.
  2. Click Terugzetten (Restore) on that row. The top row does not have this button, because that is the current state.
  3. Read the overview Dit gaat er gebeuren (This is what will happen). It states how many parts will be updated, how many will be deleted and how many deleted parts will come back.
  4. Set the three toggles as you wish and click Ja, terugzetten (Yes, restore).

The three toggles

Since the chosen moment, more may have happened than just a moved date. With the toggles you decide what happens to that. Below each toggle it says how much is involved.

  • Geboekte uren verwijderen (Delete logged hours): off by default. Hours that have been logged since that moment are then kept.
  • Concept-facturen verwijderen (Delete draft invoices): on by default. Draft invoices that have been created since that moment are deleted.
  • Verstuurde herinneringen resetten (Reset sent reminders): on by default.

If an invoice has been sent since the chosen moment, the overview states that this invoice stays in place. A sent invoice is never deleted by restoring.

Undoing a restore

After restoring you get the notice Planning teruggezet. The restore itself is also listed as a row in the history. If it was not what you intended after all, open the history again and restore the row from just before it.

Read more about the actions that end up in the history in Adding, completing and reopening planning parts.
